App Privacy Policy

DecoLens Privacy Policy

This page explains how DecoLens handles data in the app and related services, how analytics tools are used, and what privacy controls are available to you.

1. Data Collection and Purpose

DecoLens collects data related to product analytics, stability monitoring, and service operations in order to improve feature quality and the overall user experience.

  • Usage Data: for example button taps, feature usage paths, screen interactions, and workflow completion.
  • Identifiers: DecoLens currently does not have account registration or login. To analyze feature usage, analytics tools may use an anonymous identifier (without your name or email) to distinguish events across devices. If an account system is added in the future, or personally identifiable data begins to be used, this policy and the App Privacy disclosure will be updated accordingly.
  • Diagnostics: such as error logs, performance status, and crash-related information.

This data is mainly used to analyze product usage, diagnose issues, evaluate feature demand, and improve the overall quality of the service.

2. Mixpanel Analytics

DecoLens uses Mixpanel as a product analytics tool to understand feature adoption, workflow behavior, and product optimization opportunities.

  • Mixpanel is used only for internal product analytics and experience improvement.
  • Unless otherwise clearly stated, DecoLens does not use this data for cross-app, cross-site, or third-party advertising retargeting.
  • If analytics data is used for advertising or cross-service tracking in the future, DecoLens will first update this policy and request any necessary authorization under Apple guidelines.

3. Apple App Privacy and Data Disclosure

When submitting a version in App Store Connect, DecoLens discloses its App Privacy Label according to actual data handling practices.

If Mixpanel is used, the following categories typically need to be disclosed depending on the implementation:

  • Usage Data: such as feature interaction and usage statistics.
  • Identifiers: if the system uses persistent identifiers (such as a device or app instance identifier), a user ID, or an email address, this category usually needs to be disclosed.
  • Diagnostics: if crashes, errors, or performance data are tracked.

DecoLens marks whether the data is used for Analytics in the App Privacy Label and discloses whether it is linked to the user when applicable.

4. ATT (App Tracking Transparency)

If DecoLens uses Mixpanel only for internal product analytics and does not combine that data with third-party ad platforms for retargeting or cross-app tracking, an ATT permission prompt is generally not required.

If DecoLens later combines behavioral data with ad delivery, retargeting, or cross-service tracking, it will implement ATT under Apple requirements and present the appropriate permission choice before enabling those features.

5. User Choice and Analytics Opt-out

The DecoLens app provides an analytics opt-out switch. Users can disable analytics tracking with this option. After it is turned off, DecoLens stops sending subsequent analytics events.

If service behavior changes, DecoLens will update this page and the in-app disclosure accordingly.

6. Sensitive Information and Data Minimization

DecoLens should not send the following sensitive information to Mixpanel or any other analytics tool:

  • Passwords
  • Credit card numbers or other sensitive payment information
  • Precise location (GPS)
  • Address book or contact content

If a third-party SDK automatically collects data such as IP address, device name, or similar information, DecoLens will disclose it accurately according to actual collection behavior.

7. Data Retention

DecoLens retains data only for as long as needed to provide analytics and operate the service, and periodically reviews retention necessity under data minimization principles. If you disable analytics in the app, DecoLens stops sending subsequent analytics events.

8. Additional Privacy Notes

  • Cross-device tracking: DecoLens does not use IDFA for cross-app or cross-site tracking.
  • Third-party processing: If third-party SDKs are used (such as analytics services), DecoLens discloses the actual data flow and purposes.
  • Contact: If you have questions about this policy, please contact us via the Help page contact channel.

9. Children’s Privacy

DecoLens is not designed primarily for children. If you are a guardian and believe a child may have provided information that should not be collected, please contact us and we will handle the request under applicable laws.

10. Policy Updates

If DecoLens changes its data handling, third-party tools, tracking scope, or user control mechanisms, this page will be updated accordingly.
